Angela Herbert-Hodges – The Cornwall Watercolour Society

Angela-Herbert-Hodges-artist-Perranporth Angela’s paintings show the utter delight in having moved to Cornwall three years ago!

Angela is totally inspired by the rugged and beautiful rocks & the turbulent air and swirling seas, that she experiences each day, at her home in North Cornwall.

Angela’s intention is to allow the viewer to feel her enthusiasm in the colours, whether it is grey, purple, or raging orange that she has the great fortune to catch glimpses of in the freedom of this landscape.

Angela grew up in Cumbria and has travelled widely, and lived worked in London, Spain, Paris, and the USA. She spent five years in Zimbabwe which lead to her series of Endangered Animals art. Her art reflects an abstracted vision of her connection to the environment.

Notably, Angela’s paintings have been exhibited in New York & Washington DC, as well as in galleries in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. She has won awards in national, juried painting competitions in the USA. In 2022, The Royal Society of British Artists juried her work into their annual London show.
